Ingredients
  

  • 1 grated onion
  • 1 grated potato
  • 1 tbsp crushed garlic
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 500 g minced beef/lamb/pork
  • 1 jar baby mozzarella balls
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 jar tomato passata
  • 1 cup water
  • Salt and pepper

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix together onion, potato, garlic, tomato paste, fennel seeds, bread crumbs, your choice of meat, and a dash of salt and pepper.
  2. Take about 2 tbsp of the meat mix, flatten it, and place a mozzarella ball in the center. Cover the ball with meat and roll it into a meatball.
  3. Repeat until all your mixture is used.
  4. Brown the meatballs in a hot frying pan with oil.
  5. Once browned, pour in the wine, tomato passata, and water. Add a sprinkle of salt and pepper, then cover with a lid.
  6. Simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
  7. Serve with your favorite bread, pasta, rice, veggies, or salad. Enjoy!
