CHEESY ONE PAN MAC & CHEESE MAGIC!
If you love gooey, golden mac and cheese but hate washing up, this one’s for you! I make this creamy, cheesy pasta bake all in ONE pan—yes, even the pasta cooks in the sauce! It’s the easiest comfort food ever, with a crunchy, golden top that’ll have everyone going back for seconds (and thirds!).

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g butter
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp salt and pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 cups milk
  • 250 g dried elbow pasta
  • 3 cups pizza cheese
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Melt the butter in a pan that can go in the oven.
  2. Whisk in the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard, salt and pepper until it’s smooth and bubbling.
  3. Pour in the water and whisk again till it’s lump-free.
  4. Add the milk and keep whisking until it starts steaming and thickens slightly.
  5. Turn the heat off and stir in the dry pasta.
  6. Pop it in the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
  7. Take it out, stir through the pizza cheese, and top with panko and parmesan.
  8. Switch your oven to grill and pop it back in until the top is golden and crunchy!
  9. That’s it! Creamy in the middle, crispy on top, and barely any washing up—my kinda dinner!
