Hello, culinary enthusiasts! 🍴 On Day 4 of my **One Pan Dinner Series**, I'm taking you on a trip to Italy with my scrumptious **Italian Meatball Bake**! Layers of flavors, cheese, and all in just one pan! 🍝✨

Ingredients
  

  • 🍖 500g pork and veal mince blend
  • 🥚 A single egg
  • 🍞 2 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 🥛1/4 cup milk
  • 🌿 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 🧀 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 🍅 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 🥓 1/4 cup diced bacon
  • 🧂 1 tsp salt and pepper
  • 🍅 A jar of tomato passata
  • 🥔 8 cooked baby potatoes
  • 🧀 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 🌿 Fresh basil

Method
 

  1. Combine pork and veal mince, milk, bacon, bread crumbs, fennel seeds, parmesan, tomato paste, salt and pepper in a bowl. Give it a good mix! 🤲
  2. Shape into 8 hearty meatballs.
  3. In your pan, layer half the tomato passata, meatballs, and potatoes. Pour the rest of the passata over them.
  4. Bake at 200C for 30 minutes. 🌞
  5. Top with mozzarella and return to the oven for a melty 10 minutes! 🧀✨
  6. Garnish with fresh basil. Delizioso! 🍃🍽️
