There’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh bread wafting through your kitchen! I’ve been perfecting this loaf for years, and it’s finally just right. It’s soft, fluffy, and absolutely irresistible straight from the oven (or toasted with butter 🤤).

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1.5 cups hot water from tap
  • Extra flour for the bench and dusting

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine 3 cups of flour, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp yeast, and 1/2 tbsp salt. Give it a good mix!
  2. Pour in 1.5 cups of hot water from the tap and stir until everything is well combined.
  3. Let the mixture rest in a warm place for 30 minutes. Go catch up on your favorite show or dance to your favorite song! 💃
  4. After the resting time, flour your bench and transfer the dough onto it. Sprinkle the top with more flour. Now, let’s get kneading! Keep going until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. You’ve got this! 💪
  5. Place the dough in a loaf tin, cover it up, and let it rise until it doubles in size. Patience is key here, my friends! ⌛️
  6. Preheat your oven to 220°C (or 425°F). Once the dough has risen, pop it in the oven and bake for around 40 minutes. Your kitchen will soon be filled with the heavenly aroma of freshly baked bread! 🏠🍞
