Ingredients
  

  • 800 g canned apples or 1kg fresh apples peeled, chopped & softened
  • 1 x 680g jar black cherries drain and save the liquid
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1/4 cup castor sugar
  • 2 tsp mixed spice
  • 1 tsp powdered ginger
For the crumble:
  • 1 cup gluten-free plain flour
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted FLORA Block

Method
 

  1. Pour the cherry liquid into a saucepan, add sugar, mixed spice, ginger, and cornflour, and whisk over medium heat until thickened.
  2. In a baking dish, layer your apples, cherries, and the thickened sauce.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, coconut, almonds, and brown sugar. Add melted FLORA Block and mix until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble mix over the fruit.
  5. Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with FLORA Cream if desired!
